Every parent knows the importance of keeping kids cool and safe during the sweltering summer months. For the same reason, the project’s landscape architects decided to incorporate misting effects into a children’s area within Bok Tower Gardens. The Koolfog system provides a dry mist that makes it fun for kids to play in the interactive space while cooling the environment significantly.
Kids experience “Hammock Hollow Children’s Garden,” which features rocks for climbing and a natural and enchanting mist throughout. As the Gardens’ president, David Price, suggests, “Hammock Hollow is a place for kids to find themselves while getting lost in the wonder of plants, animals, and art.” The Ledge Walk and River Walk feature water effects and the cooling mist. From the Bok Gardens’ website, “Cool off in the sparkling springs of River Walk and discover a refreshing display of fountains, spray jets, misters and foggers.”
The addition of the cooling mist adds a fun new element to the play space, making it even easier for kids’ imaginations to run wild! Parents will also enjoy the cooling benefits, especially when their kids don’t want to leave!
